As I wrote about before, I participated in a "blogging by mail" thing, where I mail 10 of my favorite "food-type" things to another blogger and someone does the same for me. When I picked my 10 favorite things, of course, I chose things from Belgium (I mean...I do live here and everything.) and it is a great way to spread the wonderful (and fattening) Belgian cuisine. The package I sent went all the way to Nikki Jean in Fl. You can check it out on this link.
Anyways, I have been waiting every day to recieve my package and I was really curious who it was coming from. Well, I finally got it and I was so excited to see all the yummy, fall treats inside. Dianne sent me a wonderful selection of goodies from her neck of the woods (Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia), which was a real treat for me since I have never been to any of these states and other than NY and Boston, I haven't really explored much of the Eastern side of the U.S. I am really pleased with everything she sent me, and I can't wait to try everything. Here is a list of the things she sent me and a link to her blog as well.
Special Grape Jelly - I LOVE jelly, especially grape.
Pumpkin Butter- Yes! That is correct! I am not sure if I should even try this because I know I will be immediately hooked and then I won't ever be able to find any more. Can you say "YUM!"?
Cashew Brittle - I LOVE brittle of any kind, but I have never tried Cashew brittle before. So good!
Granola - And not just any granola, but PUMPKIN granola. I love, love, love anything pumpkin.
Chocolate-covered pretzels - These are really good and the really thick pretzels covered in both white and dark chocolate with different toppings.
Blueberry Lemon and Orange Chai Scone Mixes - After coming from Ireland this past weekend, which isn't the land of scones, but close enough and they had alot of them around, can you believe that I didn't have even one scone? I am looking forward to making these very soon, especially the chai one since that is my new thing lately.
Old Bay Seasoning for meats-This may be my new Lawry's. I am looking forward to making some chicken soon.
Maryland Honey
Chocolates-Who doesn't love chocolate?
Thanks so much for all the wonderful and "very new" treats! I am looking forward to trying them all.
What a fun project! I would go crazy with anticipation!
