Halloween that is...We made our traditional Halloween cookies yesterday, which means that even though we have celebrated it twice so far and the actual day isn't until tomorrow, Halloween is here or atleast it is in our home. We made our Hoot Owl cookies, just like my mommy used to make with my brother and me.
I made the dough the night before, and Jordan and Camille, along with their friends Hayley and Kayla helped make the owls come to life by adding the butterscotch eyes and cashew nose. Camille and Kayla brought a new twist this year and decided to forgo the usual decorations and only use chocolate chips (basically because they said they didn't like butterscotch chips and cashews), and this made their Hoot "owls" look more like Hoot "dogs," but atleast they liked the way they tasted. They were yummy cookies, just like they are every year!
(I know mine didn't turn out as good as yours Mom, but hey, they never do. Plus, I let the kids make them.)
